Got Tickets Online
Your data

Deleting your data,
and what we keep.

You can disconnect a linked Facebook or Instagram account yourself, at any time, without asking us. You can also ask us to close your GotTickets account and remove your personal details. This page explains how to do both and exactly what happens afterwards.

The short version

Three things worth knowing

🔌
Disconnecting is instant and self-serve. Unlinking a Facebook or Instagram account deletes the access token we hold for it straight away. You do not need to close your GotTickets account to do this.
✉️
Account deletion is a request, answered by a person. Ask us and we will confirm it, act on it, and tell you when it is done — within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
🧾
Purchase records are kept. A ticket sale is a financial record we are required to retain. Your account and personal details go; the transaction record stays, and stops being linked to a usable account.
Option one

Disconnect a Facebook or Instagram account

If you linked a social account to GotTickets — to sign in, to post your event flyers, or to run ads — you can remove that link yourself. It takes effect immediately and deletes the access token we stored.

From GotTickets. Sign in and open Instagram or Advertising in your dashboard, then press Disconnect. The token we hold is deleted at that moment.
From Meta, if you prefer. Go to your Facebook or Instagram settings, find GotTickets in the list of apps and websites you have authorised, and remove it. Our access ends the moment you do — you do not need our permission and you do not need to tell us.

Either route leaves your GotTickets account and your tickets intact. It only ends the link between the two.

Option two

Delete your GotTickets account and personal data

Send the request. Use our contact form and choose Data deletion request, or email contact@gottickets.online from the address on your account. Say that you want your account deleted.
We confirm it is you. We will reply to the email address on the account. We do this so that nobody else can have your account closed by asking.
We act, and tell you when it is done. Within 30 days, and normally within a few working days. You get a message confirming what was removed and what was retained.
Plainly

What is deleted, and what is kept

🗑️
Deleted. Your login and profile, your name, email address and phone number, saved events, any Facebook or Instagram access tokens, any messages you exchanged with us through a linked Instagram account, and the analytics identifiers tied to your visits.
🔒
Kept, and why. Records of tickets bought or sold, and the payment references attached to them. These are financial and tax records, and both we and the event promoter are required to keep them. They are retained for as long as the law requires and no longer.
🎤
If you are an event promoter. Events you published and tickets people bought from you are not ours alone to erase — other people hold those tickets. We will close your account and remove your personal details; the events stay on record so buyers keep what they paid for.

Payment card details are never held by GotTickets at all. Card data goes directly to Stripe and we never see or store it, so there is nothing on our side to delete.

Also

Your other rights

You can also ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct something that is wrong, or object to a particular use of it. The same contact route works for all of these, and our privacy policy sets out the rights in full, including under GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA.

If we ever refuse a request, we will tell you why and what you can do about it.
