Refunds, cancellation & auto-renewal
GotBooked sells two things: job postings and vendor memberships. They are refunded differently, and this page says exactly how.
GotBooked never takes a percentage of a booking. Customers and vendors agree their own
price and pay each other directly, so there is nothing for us to refund on the job itself.
A dispute about the work, the deposit or the balance is between the customer and the vendor —
see
Contact if you need us to step in.
Job posting fees
Posting a job is a one-time fee starting at $4.99.
What you are paying for is distribution: the moment payment clears, your job is published to
vendors in your category and stays open for 30 days.
- Full refund — before anyone responds. If no vendor has replied or bid on your
posting, ask us and we will refund it in full and take the posting down.
- Full refund — if it never published. If you were charged and your posting did not
go live, that is our fault and it is refunded in full, no questions and no window.
- No refund once vendors have responded. Once a vendor has replied, the thing you
bought has been delivered — your job reached working professionals and they spent time on
a response. That holds even if you end up hiring nobody, or hire someone you found
elsewhere.
- Upgrades follow the posting. If a posting is refunded, any paid placement on it is
refunded with it. Placement that has already run is not refunded on its own.
Ask through Contact with the job title and the email you paid with. We answer within two business days, and approved refunds go back to the original card — usually 5–10 business days, which is your bank's timing, not ours.
Vendor membership
A vendor membership is a subscription. It is billed at the start of each period and it renews
by itself until you cancel.
Current plans:
$24.99 monthly, $119.99 every 6 months and $199.99 every 12 months.
- Cancel any time, and keep what you paid for. Cancelling stops the next charge. It
does not cut your membership off — you keep full access through the end of the period you
have already paid for, and your listing, photos, reviews and messages stay exactly where
they are.
- Part-periods are not refunded. Cancelling in week two of a month does not refund
the rest of that month; you keep the access instead.
- Charged after you cancelled? Refunded in full. If a renewal is taken after you
cancelled, tell us and we will return it.
- Longer plans. Six-month and annual plans are discounted for the commitment, so
they are not refunded part-way through. They stop renewing the moment you cancel.
Cancel yourself, any time, from your membership page — there is a Cancel membership button on it and you do not have to email anybody to use it.
Automatic renewal
In plain terms, and the same terms you will see on the checkout button before you pay:
- Your card is charged today, and again automatically at the end of every period at the
same price, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from your membership page. There is no cancellation fee and
no notice period.
- Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, not
immediately — you do not lose days you paid for.
- If we ever change the price of a plan, the change applies to renewals after we have told
you, never to a period you have already paid for.
- If a renewal payment fails, your membership does not end that instant — we retry, and
you keep access while that is happening. If it cannot be collected, membership lapses
and nothing is deleted.
Before you dispute a charge
Please ask us first. A chargeback takes weeks, freezes the account it is raised against and
usually gets you your money slower than we would. Almost everything on this page we can
settle the same week.
Payments are processed by Stripe; GotBooked does not store your card details. This page sits
alongside our Terms of Service — where the two
differ on refunds, this page is the one we follow.
